Flare Gas Recovery

Flare gas recovery systems saves 20-30.000 tonnes CO2, per pack, annually – that's equivalent to 15.000 cars.

YOUR SUPPLIER OF Flare Gas Recovery

Traditionally, you could see that a platform found oil from far away due to the gas flare. The burning of flammable gas was primarily an after effect of unplanned over-pressuring of plant equipment as well as disposal of unwanted petroleum gas.

Flare Gas Recovery Systems (FGRS) puts a stop to this waste and makes sure we can reuse the gas for different purposes.

OUR METHOD

This is how we do it

Flare Gas Recovery Systems (FGRS) are specialised compression packages which aim to recover and repurpose the gass, and this is how it works:

  1. A Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facilitates the processing and storage of oil and gas at sea.
  1. It receives fluids (crude oil, water and a bit of different things) and separates them into crude oil, water, natural gas and impurities in the production facilities.
  1. When oil enters the tank the associated gass makes the pressure rise and a small overpressure is transferred to our FGRS.
  1. Then the gas is transferred from the FGRS to the gas turbines and will serve as an energy source.
  1. Another solution is to transfer the recovered gas through gas pipes to shore, also for energy production.

BENEFITS

This is why we do it

Reducing and eliminating gas flaring is vital to address climate change – and we are doing what we can to help companies use it for valuable purposes. By integrating FGRS in your oil and gas production you will see these benefits:

  • Lower emissions
  • Reduced operating costs
  • Social and environmental responsibility
  • Reduced tax costs
